Publication: Meeting World Keepers

"Spurenlese"´s fourth volume, titled "Begegnung mit den Weltenhütern" (Meeting World Keepers) has been released in September 2021 and portrays restoration works on four tibetian-buddhist Sky Kings from the Hermann Speck von Sternburg collection. They were originally worshiped for their power to shelter the keeper from demonic forces, while containing at the inside so called "temple offerings" meant to support their effects. Several articles in this issue discuss on how to deal with religious objects and how to keep their original sacral meaing in museum contexts.
